The Faculty of Science and Charles University offer the following benefits to their employees:

• meal contributions

  • Starting from 1 April 2021, the system of payment of the meal allowance has changed throughout the Faculty of Arts of Charles University. Instead of meal vouchers or canteen meal allowance, each employee who is entitled to the allowance will receive the relevant tax-free amount directly in the monthly salary payment. The total amount of the allowance will remain the same as before. Employees will have the advantage of being able to use the allowance at any location. The amount of the allowance will remain unchanged following the abolition of meal vouchers and canteen discounts. Employees who have worked at least 4 hours per shift according to the attendance records will receive CZK 55 in addition to their wages, and CZK 75 for shifts longer than 10.5 hours. This allowance is exempt from income tax and all deductions.

The Information Technology Centre procures, commissions, and entrusts mobile devices to users. The costs of procuring a mobile device are borne by the workplace for which the device is procured.
